Symphony in the Cities Brings Free Outdoor Concert to Orange

Orange residents can enjoy an evening of live music under the stars as Pacific Symphony brings its popular Symphony in the Cities celebration to the Musco Center for the Arts.

Held outdoors on the Bette and Wylie Aitken Arts Plaza, the free community concert will feature a mix of popular classics, pop songs, and patriotic favorites performed by Pacific Symphony. Assistant Conductor Jacob Sustaita will lead the orchestra, with the audience invited to join in for a special sing-along featuring familiar patriotic tunes.

The festivities begin with a Musical Playground featuring interactive activities for children, including instrument making and a drum circle. Young attendees can even learn how to conduct from Maestro Sustaita before getting the opportunity to help lead the orchestra during a piece in the evening concert.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic, lawn chairs, and blankets and settle in for an evening that combines live music with hands-on activities and summer fun. For Orange residents, the event offers a free opportunity to experience a professional orchestra right in the heart of the community.

Symphony in the Cities takes place Sunday, August 16 at the Musco Center for the Arts, located at 415 N. Glassell St. in Orange. Pre-concert activities begin at 4:30 PM, followed by the Pacific Symphony concert at 7 PM.
