Spooky Stories and Local Legends Come to Life on an Old Towne Walking Tour
For those who enjoy a mix of history and hauntings, Haunted OC offers a walking tour that explores the darker side of Old Towne Orange after the sun goes down.
The guided experience leads participants through the historic streets of Old Towne, weaving together true ghost stories, local history, and long-standing legends tied to some of the area’s most recognizable places. Along the way, guides share tales of antique shops said to house items with unsettling pasts, restaurants rumored to host more than just dinner guests, and moments in Orange history that still echo late at night.
The tour begins at the Royer Mansion, located at the corner of East Chapman Avenue and Grand Avenue, a fitting starting point for an evening rooted in both architecture and atmosphere. From there, guests walk through Old Towne’s familiar streets, seeing the neighborhood through a more mysterious lens.
Designed for guests ages 12 and up, the tour asks that anyone under 18 be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $36, and multiple dates are offered throughout January and February, including select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Whether you’re a longtime Orange resident or someone curious about the stories behind Old Towne’s historic storefronts, the Haunted OC walking tour offers a chance to experience the city in a different way — blending local history with the kind of spooky charm that makes familiar places feel entirely new once night falls.
