OTPA Porch Talk Explores the Places That Bring Old Towne Orange Together

The Old Towne Preservation Association is inviting the community to its upcoming Porch Talk, “Preserving the Places We Gather,” a free workshop exploring the history, design, and importance of one of Old Towne Orange’s most recognizable architectural features: the front porch.

The program will take place on a historic porch and feature its family alongside a local architect, who will share insights into porch design and preservation. Orange residents will also have an opportunity to share their own porch stories and learn more about how these spaces have helped connect neighbors and shape the character of historic neighborhoods.

Hosted by the Old Towne Preservation Association, the workshop continues the nonprofit’s efforts to preserve, protect, and celebrate the historic character of Old Towne Orange through community education and hands-on preservation programs.

The event is free, but space and tickets are limited, and an RSVP is required. OTPA members will receive priority for available spots.

OTPA’s “Preserving the Places We Gather” Porch Talk takes place Saturday, September 12 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM in Old Towne Orange. The exact porch location is provided to registered attendees.
