Orange Home Grown Invites the Community to Stand Together at City Hall

As Orange Home Grown looks ahead to a milestone year, the organization is inviting the community to show up and stand together in support of its long-standing work in the city.

On January 13 at 5:45 p.m., Orange Home Grown will gather at Orange City Hall, located at 300 East Chapman Avenue, to publicly express appreciation for its partnership with the City of Orange and to seek continued support moving forward.

For 15 years, Orange Home Grown has brought people together around locally grown food through its Farmers & Artisans Market, Education Farm, youth food literacy programs, and annual scholarships. The organization says this moment is about showing how much that work matters — not just to the organization, but to the neighbors, families, students, and volunteers who have been part of it.

Community members who shop at the weekly farmers market, volunteer at the education farm, participate in youth programs, or have benefited from scholarships are encouraged to attend. Supporters are invited to bring a friend, wear Orange Home Grown gear, and help fill the room as a visible show of appreciation and unity.

The gathering is framed as a moment of community presence rather than protest — an opportunity to demonstrate the value of local food access, education, and shared spaces that Orange Home Grown has helped cultivate over the years.

As Orange continues to grow and plan for the future, events like this highlight how community voices can help shape what the city chooses to support. For those who believe in local food, education, and connection, this is a chance to stand alongside an organization that has helped grow all three.
