Legendary Improv Comedy Comes to Orange with The Groundlings

A night of live comedy is headed to Old Towne as the iconic improv troupe The Groundlings Theatre takes the stage at the Musco Center for the Arts on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m.

For nearly 50 years, The Groundlings have been known for fast-paced improv and sketch comedy built around everyday life’s chaos and humor. The Los Angeles-based group has served as a launching point for many well-known performers, including Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Coolidge, and Will Ferrell, and continues to showcase rising comedic talent.

The live performance will feature unscripted moments, character-driven scenes, and audience-inspired comedy, meaning each show becomes a unique experience shaped by the crowd in the room. The format keeps the energy unpredictable and interactive, giving attendees the feeling of being part of the performance rather than simply watching it.

Held at 415 North Glassell Street in the heart of Orange, the event adds a nationally recognized comedy act to the city’s growing lineup of live entertainment offerings.

For residents looking for a midweek outing, the performance offers something different from a typical night out — a chance to gather with friends, laugh together, and experience professional improv comedy without leaving Orange.
