Italian Language and Culture Celebration Coming to Musco Center in Orange

An international cultural experience is coming to Old Towne as the Ferrucci Institute for Italian Experience and Research presents the tenth edition of its Italian Perspective Series on Saturday, February 21 at the Musco Center for the Arts.

The public event explores the relationship between language and culture through keynote talks and live performances featuring poetry and music. Designed for a general audience, the program highlights Italian identity, linguistic diversity, and the humanistic traditions that have shaped Italian culture over centuries.

The gathering is part of a long-running series that examines how different aspects of life — from music and food to science and design — connect to Italian culture. This year’s focus centers on how language influences history, belonging, and cultural expression, presenting Italy not only as a place but as a shared global idea.

Following the program, guests are invited to a reception in the Musco Center’s mezzanine lobby from 12 to 1 p.m., offering time to continue conversations and meet others in the community.

Held on the Musco Center main stage in the heart of Orange, the event brings an international perspective directly into the local arts scene. A portion of ticket proceeds will support Italian Studies programs, reinforcing the connection between education, culture, and community engagement within the city.
