Disney History Comes to Life at Orange Community Historical Society Celebration
An evening of history, nostalgia, and imagination is coming to Old Towne as the Orange Community Historical Society hosts its annual dinner and program, “Walt Disney’s Park Inspirations.”
Taking place on Thursday, February 19 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, the celebration invites guests to enjoy a themed night inspired by Disneyland’s early creativity and storytelling. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite Disney attire and take part in a festive evening that blends local history with Southern California cultural heritage.
The event includes a no-host cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, dinner buffet, and a special presentation by Jeff Kurtti, a renowned Disney historian and author known for his extensive work documenting the company’s legacy and creative origins.
Located at 211 East Chapman Avenue, the gathering brings together community members, collectors, and Disney enthusiasts for a night that celebrates both regional history and the cultural influence of the theme park that helped shape the area’s identity.
For Orange residents, the evening offers more than a dinner — it’s a chance to connect with neighbors, support local preservation efforts, and experience the stories and inspirations behind one of Southern California’s most beloved institutions, all within the heart of Old Towne.
