Health Inspectors Temporarily Close Several Orange County Food Establishments
Orange County health inspectors ordered the temporary closure of eight restaurants and food facilities between May 21 and May 28 due to issues ranging from cockroach infestations and rodent activity to insufficient hot water. Most of the businesses were able to correct the violations and reopen after passing reinspection.
Among the establishments affected were Sandwich House in Cypress, White Palace in Westminster, Subway and Phat Ky Mi Gia in Garden Grove, X-Fish Izakaya in Buena Park, Beach City Provisions in Huntington Beach, Meet Fresh in Irvine, and Tatva Indian Fine Dining in Anaheim. Several closures were related to cockroach infestations, while others involved rodents or sanitation issues.
Health officials note that closures are intended to protect public health and that restaurants can reopen once violations are corrected and inspectors verify the problems have been resolved. Many of the businesses listed were reopened within one or two days after corrective action was taken.
For Orange residents, the report serves as a reminder that Orange County’s health inspection system is actively monitoring food facilities and requiring immediate action when significant health risks are identified.
