Bosscat Kitchen & Libations Brings Whiskey, Brunch, and History to Old Towne Orange

Few restaurants have made as big an impact on Old Towne Orange’s dining scene in recent years as Bosscat Kitchen & Libations. Known for its elevated comfort food, extensive whiskey collection, and lively atmosphere, the restaurant has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors exploring the Plaza area.

What makes the Orange location especially unique is its history. The building once housed the Fraser family’s longtime liquor store, Rod’s Liquor, and before that was reportedly the first horse-and-buggy repair shop and first gas station in Orange County. Today, Bosscat embraces that history while blending it with a modern restaurant experience.

Inside, guests will find a dedicated whiskey room featuring hundreds of bottles from around the world, an intimate library space, a large outdoor patio, and a menu that ranges from brunch favorites and burgers to shareable comfort food and craft cocktails. The restaurant has built its reputation around pairing approachable dining with one of the most extensive whiskey selections in Southern California.

For Orange residents, Bosscat has become more than just a restaurant. Its location in the heart of Old Towne, combined with its historic setting and energetic atmosphere, has helped make it one of the area’s go-to spots for brunch, happy hour, special occasions, and nights out with friends.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations is located at 118 West Chapman Ave. in Old Towne Orange and features daily happy hour, weekend brunch, and a whiskey collection of more than 300 selections.
